Someone once said, “Do you know what it would mean to give my first and best to the Lord? That would totally rearrange my life!”
Exactly.
That’s what it means to follow Christ.
Jesus doesn’t ask for a place in your life, He claims the throne. Following Him means reordering everything around the truth that Jesus is King, including your finances.
Jesus spoke more about money than almost any other topic, not because He needed it, but because He knew it reveals what rules our hearts. Your wallet and your heart are more connected than you think
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21 ESV
We give because Jesus gave first. He didn’t hold back. He gave His best, His very life for us. So generosity isn’t about guilt; it’s a response and it's about trust, worship, and joyful surrender.
When Jesus is truly King, yes, it will rearrange your life. But in the best possible way.
You’ll trade control for peace.
Anxiety for purpose.
Scarcity for trust.
And as you open your hands, you’ll discover the joy of living like everything belongs to Him, because it does. He is a faithful King. And you can trust Him with everything, including your finances.
Practical Ways to Start Practicing Generosity:
Give first, not what’s left – Choose a percentage and commit to it.
Rework your budget – Let generosity lead your financial decisions.
Pray over your finances – Trust God with every need and plan.
Christ is all,
